Old English Literature is sometimes called Anglo-Saxon Literature. Old English was used from the 7th century to a little after the Norman conquest in 1066. The language Old English is a West Germanic language that is related to Old Frisian and Old Saxon. From the 9th century it was also influenced by Old Norse and North Germanic.
